Klibansky Sculpture Celebrating Flowers Lives in Shanghai

Flowers invoke dreams and possibility. No wonder why Dutch sculptor Joseph Klibansky’s “Self Portrait of a Dreamer” had his futuristic man balancing a flowerpot on his foot.

The large sculpture was a sensation when shown last year in Amsterdam’s  Museum Quarter,  surrounded by the Stedelijk Museum, Rijks Museum and Van Gogh Museum. Over 13 million tourists got to view it.

But the beloved sculpture has now moved to another continent.  Klibansky’s large sculpture “Self Portrait of a Dreamer” is now showing in Jing’An Sculpture park in the center of Shanghai, China. It was also purchased permanently by a buyer and will reside in China.
