Tom Brady, who just announced he’s going to return to the Tampa Buccaneers, made a big impression on Jane Fonda when he sent the 84-year old legend flowers while also rethinking retirement. Flowers do make people happy.
“He sent me a humongous thing of orchids because I had my shoulder replaced,” Fonda told People Magazine. What’s even more thoughtful and generous is that Fonda has not met Brady in person.
However, Brady was signed to be part of a new film called “Brady” starring Fonda about four old friends who take a road trip to see the legendary quarterback make touchdowns in the 2017 Super Bowl. Based on a true story, it also stars Sally Field, Rita Moreno, and of course, Fonda’s “Grace and Frankie” co-star Lily Tomlin.
Quipped Tomlin upon hearing that Fonda got the flowers from Brady, “I’m gonna get my should replaced so he’ll send me some.”
Once extremely rare and expensive, orchids were popularized by the designer Halston and soon became so fashionable in decor and design. Plus they last a long time which makes them a popular gift.
Not surprisingly, Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen has also been on the receiving end of some big statement flowers from her husband as well. Previously she posted on Instagram a huge bouquet that he sent her.
And yes, the giant arrangement had orchids along with white roses. Sweet, right?
