British Flowers Week is a week-long celebration of British cut flowers. Kicking off June 15 and running through Sunday June 21, this annual event championed by the New Covent Garden Flower Market, brings together the cut flower industry, along with flower schools, growers, and wholesalers in an effort to showcase the best of locally-grown British flowers and floristry.

Along with a full schedule of online interviews, garden tours, and workshops with top florists, a fun feature of this year’s event is “British Flowers Week Windows,” a challenge in which the organizers have called on the nation to share the arrangements in windows of their homes or workspaces. Contributions can range from a simple single stem to an extravagant installation.

Throughout the week, anyone is invited to share a photo of their “British Flowers Week Window” on social media using the hashtag #BritishFlowersWeek, #NewCoventGardenMarket and to tag @MarketFlowers to be entered into the British Flowers Week Competitions.

Here are some of the fantastic entries that caught our eye on the first day, June 15.
