Trendy floral fashions didn’t only populate the 66th Grammy Awards as Miley Cyrus won her first Grammy for the hit song “Flowers.”
Notice how florist Tu Bloom, who has a partnership with Suntory Flowers, used blue flowers in his arrangements. Suntory through hard work, diligence, and passion bred blue flowers which are so rare in nature. (Here’s a story on their new blue chrysanthemum). And these awards shows celebrate the new and different not only in fashion but event decor.
Enjoy these examples of Tu Bloom’s artistry as well as some of my favorite fashions including Chrissy Teigen’s rose dress and others. This marks Tu Bloom’s fifth year at the Grammy’s and his work complements all the fashions.
Meanwhile, perhaps Tu Bloom’s pink velvet suit should have ranked on a best-dressed list too. We appreciated the Barbie color.
Chrissy Teigen, maybe realizing flowers get attention as happened with JLO with her 7000 petal cape at the Paris shows, wore a rose mini dress. Miley Cyrus wore a Maison Margiela.
Lana Del Ray and Janelle Monae wore elegant dresses with floral motifs – Monae has been wearing lots of Armani. Del Ray switched her dress at last minute to this classic floral lace Aidan Mattox design. Nicey Nash went for sparkliing flowers in her Marc Bouwer.
And proving natural motifs get attention, Dawn Richard is making headlines for her tree dress made by newcomer Khosrov.
Flowers always get attention – it’s what they do.
