Leave it to a flower lover to come up with a mask that smells good.
Tired of people being “naughty” Stacey Bresnahan, who started her company Laubahn Perfumes in 2018, wanted people to well, #humanup and wear masks.
Noting how people resisted wearing masks because “it wasn’t a pleasant experience,” the Wisconsin-based perfumer sought a solution.
Now her scent-infused Laubahn masks are selling like hotcakes and people are saying how grateful they are because their “masks smell good.”
As of now, she has French lavender and Balsam Fir options as well as Lemon Verbena – which is currently sold out.
“They are made with little packets and you can crunch it up for more scent,” says Bresnahan. “I’m crazy obsessed with this and hoping to keep people safe and intrigue them into wearing masks.”
So far so good. After all, no act of kindness or love is wasted. Plus November 13th was World Kindness Day so maybe encourage people to be kind to each other and wear masks – especially Stacey’s special ones.
The bubbly blonde Bresnahan is full of energy and enthusiasm. She credits her grandmother for teaching her a love of flora as a child.
“I’ve always known I wanted to work with flowers since I was seven,” she says.
Although there were some detours to this moment, two years ago she focused her business acumen on creating scents that were refreshing but also sultry.
“Our collection celebrates an otherwordly. nature with immense beauty, seduction and serenity,” she says, noting that perfumes should make you feel “dreamlike.”
“You are transported through scent into a world that only exists in the mind,” she adds. Though her lovely scents also attract others to question what you are wearing and enjoy the aroma. There are notes of roses, jasmine, and gardenia among other surprises that collectively create these enchanting scents.
Not only do they smell good but naturally the clever Bresnahan has created an aura of fun in the packaging with names such as “Lost in the Moment,” “Naughty Gardens” “Cognac” and “Sea Lily” and “Hinterland.”
In lockdown, she is also contemplating other scents to the collection that now is her passion project.
Maybe there will be one called “Survival of the Fittest” which encourages people to take nature walks and believe in possibility. ‘There is so much more I want to do,” says Bresnahan. “This is just the beginning.” But for now, she is keeping people safe and happy.
