Who Had the Best Floral Fashions at the Tony Awards?

Spread the love

Here is the highlight reel for the best floral fashions of the Tony Awards for 2023. Which one is your favorite?

When your name is Leyna Bloom, of course, you will wear a flower to the Tony Awards. The Broadway actress wore a Mark Bumgarner dress with a big gold rose. And the rose is the flower of June.

“Funny Girl” actress Lea Michele also wore a beautiful floral-inspired dress. Designed by Emilia Wickstead, it was a dress you could wear for any event. The red peonies were Jackson Pollack-inspired splashes of flowers and really lovely.

Justin Cooley is a guy who loves flowers. And we love him for it. For the Tony Awards, he wore a modern splattering of flowers on a white suit.

He is really a budding star. There is something so fresh and fun about him – and cheerful – which is why audiences are falling in love. And few get nominated for their first role as he has for “Kimberly Akimbo.” The show won for best musical. He is a winner for his floral fashions.

Juliane Hough wore a black chiffon dress with lavender floral flourishes. It is a dress you could wear all year long. The designer is Carolina Herrera.

Jessica Chastain often wears sensational flower-inspired dresses but did not to this Tony Awards as she has done for past shows including the Sag Awards. Maybe next time.

Also, a special shout-out to Gregg Barnes who won for best costume design for his incredible work on “Some Like it Hot.” He’s also created memorable costumes for “Mean Girls,” “Legally Blonde” and “Aladdin.”  This is his third win and unlikely to be his last.
