Stars Are Wearing Rich Florals On The Long Red Oscar Carpet

Billy Porter showed what we already know. Men love florals too.

Designers are always creative when it comes to florals. Here are some of our favorite looks from the award shows leading up to the Oscars on Sunday, February 24th, 2019.

Emmy Stone looked fresh in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton at the Palm Springs Film Festival in January. Check out the slicked back, no-fuss hair contrasted with the shoes.

Nothing too boring about this ball gown for Heidi Klum. The black chiffon and appliqued flowers made a bold statement at the Golden Globes.

I still love soft colors. Lucy Liu’s dress was modernized with that floating soft cloak and the surprising chartreuse and tangerine accent colors.

While Edith Bowman’s dress was creative, I’m not sure if I liked it. What do you think? The Daily Mail, who covers fashion with enthusiasm, cited this in their worst dressed list for British Academy Film and Television Awards.  One advantage of going out there a bit?  I never heard of her and now know her name.

Speaking of BAFTA, any time I can see the lovely Keira Knightly, I am happy. She can wear a paper bag and look good. The boho dress she wore to a BAFTA event in December is covered with cabbage roses but on her, it looks heavenly.

Emily Blunt’s dress finds it florals in the lace fabric. The see-through elements that reveal her long legs were also a nice touch.

There’s a lot of walking leading up the Oscars. We can’t wait to show you our favorite floral looks from the big award show.
