Joey King and Versace Win FPD Fashion Awards at MTV VMA Awards

It’s been so long that we’ve seen any red carpet like gathering for floral fashion.

However, Sunday night’s 2020 MTV Video Music Awards may have been done remotely, but the presenters and nominees took off their casual home attire and wore designer duds.

They strutted their stuff in audience-less space scattered throughout New York City for the virtual event.

Three floral outfits were the highlights, with two of the fashions being designed by Versace which is to rock n’ roll what Burberry is the House of Windsor.

The floral fashion winner of the evening was Joey King, then actress best known in Netflix’s “The Kissing Booth” and “The Act.”

The floral-inspired Versace mini-dress popped with color and we liked the neon green that reminded us that fall was near. Furthermore, it oozed youthful style without showing too much skin. Rare when arms are covered at a music awards show. The mini dress also showed off her trim figure and wasn’t proportioned so well to her height. She was a presenter and certainly presented well.

Dojo Can also wore a Versace that was traditional music awards styling. The plunging neckline that dropped to the waist and lots of bare skin. The copper color complimented and the orange bursts of flowers worked well. The fabric was beautiful. Liked how she accessorized as well using a lariat necklace and big hoops with her hair tied back in a ponytail. But how did she walk in those shoes? See how high. they are.

Although Taylor Swift can be usually counted on for choosing something wonderfully floral, this time her ensemble was a Versace glittering jacket and high black slick boots. But the fashion house of Versace truly proved to be the winner of the night in what stars chose.

Jaden Smith delighted with a tulip-inspired jacket. The Cut called it a granny cardigan but the flowers were bold and bright and not fuddy-duddy. But then again grannies these days are very stylish.

Maybe we should have virtual parties with our friends wearing the clothes we haven’t worn in ages just for fun. And take videos of it.
