Garden Fresh Elegance at Hampton Classic 2026

I have often said that the Hampton Classic is the Olympics of table décor—and I mean it. Because while the world’s best riders are competing in the ring, there is an entirely different kind of competition unfolding beneath the white VIP tents. On Grand Prix Sunday, the tables become their own showcase of creativity, style, hospitality, and imagination. It is not simply about setting a pretty table; it is about creating a world around it, one that can hold its own against the spectacle taking place just beyond the tent.

What makes the Hampton Classic so extraordinary is that the table décor is actually woven into the fabric of the equestrian event. These aren’t tables set in isolation at a ballroom or gala. They overlook the rings, where elite horses and riders are competing at the highest level. And there are rules: centerpieces cannot obstruct anyone’s view of the competition, and even something as simple as a flapping tablecloth is taken seriously because a loud movement could spook a horse

The result is one of the most wonderfully competitive displays of entertaining anywhere. Designers, brands, families, equestrians, and sponsors pour enormous creativity into their tables. Some embrace the sport with stirrups, bridles, riding boots, trophies, horses, and other equestrian references; others take a completely unexpected direction, creating sophisticated gardens, fantasy landscapes, or highly personal expressions of color and pattern.

And perhaps that is what makes the Hampton Classic so irresistible: for one extraordinary Sunday, you can watch a breathtaking horse clear a jump, then turn your head and see a breathtaking table doing exactly the same thing—competing for attention, beauty, and that coveted first-place finish.

This year didn’t disappoint. Here are some of the trends for 2026.

Some used flowers from the gorgeous arrangements to accent the napkin decor. Here are some examples.

Others just found ways to have floral decor with napkins either with fabric or napkin rings.

Another popular flourish is using floral tablecloths as the launching pad for a beautiful table scape.

 

Many also utilize floral plates to complement the arrangements as well.

 

And of course there were many that showcased spectacular flowers that charmed and delighted.
