That flower feeling definitely was in full force at the Interflora World Cup 2023 in Manchester, England. This is the floral world’s version of the Olympics which happens every four years. Florists compete with other design stars in their home country to achieve the honor of being part of the World Cup.
Nicolaus Peters of Germany was crowned Interflora World Cup 2023 champion and won a $15,000 prize at a gala event with over 600 people. While Peters took the first prize, Elisabeth Pålsson took second place for Norway, and the UK’s Lizzie Newcombe took third place.
This year’s event was the FIRST time that the public was invited to observe floral artists compete with 20 other countries for the top prize.
In booths lined up along the Manchester Central building with their country’s name on it, onlookers could watch as the floral artists created five live-action assignments. Blooms were flying into the structures with speed and precision.
Naturally, many visitors wore floral outfits inspired by the theme that we wanted to share. In fact, men lately are actually the MOST stylish. Jackets become canvases for floral motifs that elevate their style.
As you already know, I wear something floral every single day. Why? Because it is a strategic way to bring happiness to your life and boost your spirits. Luckily, designers for both men and women realize that others feel the same way and now are incorporating flora and nature motifs in clothing, jewelry, shoes etc all year round.
Tell us your favorite designs and think of wearing flowers to bring in sunshine and good vibes.
