Check Out These Floral Feasts for the Eye!

Spread the love

By Jill Brooke

In honor of National Pie Day as well as our weekly series called Floral Foodie Sundays, we highlighted the work of Loria Stern.

The Los Angeles-based baker and artist has a fun motto called, “Eat Your Flowers.” We couldn’t agree more.

Known for her flower-pressed shortbread cookies which we’ve reported on, turns out of course that Stern can be creative in many ways. Cakes and pies and anything else.

In fact, since she has such a devoted following, she now also sells edible pressed flowers for decoration that anyone can now apply to a store. bought cake or your grandmother’s homemade recipe.  These delightful flowers ranging from roses to violas and daisies are so modern and fresh that they will update any recipe.

But it doesn’t stop there. She even has edible “flowerfetti” sprinkles.

Loria is a baker but she is also so much more. She is a botanist, a gardener, an artist and an advocate for sustainability and inclusivity. She harvests from her own abundant flower garden – and also works alongside local farmers to source seasonal and organic produce and even implements creative waste reduction and water conservation practices whenever possible. That speaks volumes about who she is as a person.

And her love of flowers is so palatable in all these designs. So here are some of her creations for pies – that will be a feast for your eyes. And looking isn’t caloric. However, some treats are worth the calories. We think these pies would also make a great Valentine’s gift for someone you love. Because as we say here at flowerpowerdaily, no act of love is ever wasted.
