The highly anticipated 5th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House Dallas has officially opened its doors to the public at 2999 Turtle Creek Boulevard in the esteemed Turtle Creek neighborhood. Twenty-five talented designers and architects were enlisted to transform the extraordinary property into a masterpiece of design, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the latest trends and cutting-edge concepts on display until its close on November 13th. Tickets are available for purchase here.

“This year’s Show House offers a unique opportunity and design landscape to the participating designers.” said James Druckman, President of the Board of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. “We’re excited to see how each designer approached their space and transformed this commercial building and we’re eager to welcome guests into this first-of-its-kind Show House.”

This being Dallas – it is no surprise that floral motifs populated many of the rooms. Not only are their lovely floral lamps and floor coverings, but there was an incredible array of floral wallpapers. These are always creative laboratories. Designers get to express their vision without restraints. After all, interior decorators must also be psychologists. To be employed means successfully catering to the tastes of clients.  Here they express themselves. As a result, these shows are crowd pleasers – and fundraisers – around the country. Plus these venues offer historical perspective. You get to witness the styles of different regions.

The following are some of our favorites from the Dallas show. These designers showed how bold and beautiful can also feel classic. That essential dance and tension in design is why they are so masterful at their craft. If anything, the message here is embrace fun and color and create memorable rooms to enjoy.
