Here are some highlights flower lovers of the dresses – and costumes – from the annual MET gala. With the theme of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” it was going to be our type of fashion.
Zendaya – as we knew – dazzled. She wore not one, but TWO dresses, First, a Maison Margiela by John Galliano, and then came back to make a final closing statement with a black Givenchy Haute Couture gown also by Galliano with a head piece that was a bouquet of flowers by Alexander McQueen.
Harris Reed made a bigger name for himself with Demi Moore’s fab wallpaper dress that was fun – and she could also walk in it. (Not including the over the top dresses that required a team of people to just walk in.)
Tory Burch showed up with an elegant trio and wins for having dresses you can actually wear all season.
Lauren Sanchez’ Oscar de la Renta dress was also a winner. It was consistent with her edgy style but elegant. And did love Vogue editor Anna Wintour cape designed by Jonathan Anderson of Loewe. Tulips were also a popular theme.
What are your favorites? (Going to include a separate story on all the flowers men wore on their lapels.) Oh and a special shout-out to Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger. Flowerpowerdaily awards her the most on point to theme of “Sleeping Beauty.”
